Truly sophisticated food at diner prices with a diner atmosphere. It is a neighborhood hangout. World food from all corners of the globe. Interesting flavor/texture combinations - I'm thinking of a polenta lasagna that knocked me flat. Home made hollandaise from local eggs. Home baked desserts, breads and muffins. Fish tacos to die for - the lime chipotle drizzle was mouth suck good with fresh lettuces and local haddock. Boutique jams fresh made in cute little serving dishes. Potato pancakes crisp on the outside, creamy inside. People LOVE their Alfredo Sauce. Baba ganoushe makes an incredible sandwich. Their quesadilla selections are filling and healthy. One can eat here frequently, have money left in your pocket, and rarely get bored. Bring your own booze is a plus. The night of the polenta lasagna, I brought in the perfect malbec and hummed all through the meal.

Appealing, small-town atmosphere with a wonderfully sophisticated menu. Ralph's is our default stop for breakfast every time we're in the area. The stuffed french toast is one big party for the palate. There are also appetizing healthy options -- such as elegant salads or yogurt with home-made granola -- for those who want to go light. The service is great...warm, friendly, and witty. We tried other places but Ralph's is still the best...I haven't yet found a place that has perfectly blended a unique down-home vibe with an inexpensive, cosmopolitan fare. I wish they'd start a franchise because we need a Ralph's Cafe in Jersey!

Ralph's is PERFECT--for any meal, with anyone! Local or traveler, feast or snack, I'd take the family, a business client, a date, or a hungry stranger with a shirt and shoes, or just go by myself and meet someone I don't know yet. The food is delicious, the selection has the honest basics plus good variety, service is personal and friendly, the atmosphere (decor and personnel) are fun and relaxed, and the value can't be beat. These folks know what real people want, because they're right there talking to you. Wherever we're going, we always figure out how to go there by way of Ralph's!

Ralph's has the friendly feel of a neighborhood hangout. But don't let the small-town diner atmosphere fool you into expecting humdrum burgers and specials; this place has excellent quality food. You won't regret ordering their homemade ice cream! One visit to Ralph's, and you'll want to become a regular.

Ralphs Cafe- Frank is meticulous about quality from the salad to the desert. The food is excellent with fresh ingredints prepared just right. The menu is refreshing for anywhere in Maine and surprising for a small town in Maine. Order it how you like it it is all done from scratch. Hot fudge Heathbar icecream sunday on top of a home made warm Brownie! Now we are talkin! The atmosphere is comfortable, low key, good company, lots of laughs. Wish they were open through winter.

Ralph's is our home away from home! We love eating there and always have to plan a couple hours to stay and chat with everyone. Our two little girls are growing up there and is is "their" restaurant.

My husband and I never have to discuss where to eat on special occasions - it's always Ralph's. We've never been disappointed by a meal there, and the menu manages to cater to both of our very different tastes. Gourmet, vegetarian, seafood, and the best burger around - how can you beat that?
The decor is crazy fun with 50's movie posters to antique snowshoes on the wall, and an actual, functioning jukebox. The service is warm and personal, and the homemade ice cream flavors alone are worth a stop. Ralphs makes any occasion special.

By far the friendliest place I've ever eaten! The atmosphere is like eating around the kitchen table except your not cooking or cleaning up the mess! Can't say enough about the delicious food, friendly waitstaff, talented cook and family friendly prices. We've enjoyed many different muffins, wraps and the tiramisu pancakes are to die for! At Ralph's they will try to accommodate any dietary needs. Highly recommend a stop at Ralph's whenever you're passing through Waldo county! Even if it means you take a little detour :)

This is a hidden gem... you don't expect gourmet food in middle of nowhere. YOU HAVE TO GO! Breakfast is awesome... along with dinner. Only complaint is they close for winter season.

Ralph's Cafe is a fun friendly environment that is welcome to families of all shapes and sizes. Ralph's never turns away a customer and always does the best to cater to individual requests. I worked for the restaurant for a short time and fell in love with the atmosphere. Customers come in with a smile because they know they will be greeted by the friendly owners who have reasonable prices and chipper conversation. It's number one in my book

Ralph's is our first choice for meals out. The food is out of this world, and the staff is fantastic. The atmosphere is more like a family gathering than a restaurant!

Good place to eat. Love the breakfasts but wish the homefries were crunchier. Please bring back the Thai Wrap! Watresses are cute and friendly and love the waiters T-shirts.....different quoteable quote every day. Would you consider opening up for winter breakfasts F-Su?

A great little restaurant in a great little town. Good food, good company and good people. It's the next best thing to having a group of friends over for a casual dinner at home...and you don't have to do the dishes!

My favorite place to eat of ALL TIME. Food is great, service is great. You will not be treated as merely a customer, you will be treated as a friend.
