My wife and I were on our way back from Freeport and decided to stop at the Muddy Rudder in Yarmouth for dinner. When we first entered, we were really taken back by the unique ambience which resonated from this place. After a long day of shopping being able to sit and relax in such a pleasant atmosphere was simply euphoric. The lighting was perfect, the river looked lovely, the piano player was remarkable and my martini was faultless. As soon as our waitress listed the specials, my wife and I knew exactly what we wanted...we thought to ourselves "Where else could one acquire and enjoy a 3 lb lobster?" The pan-seared scallops we had for our appetizer was delightful and our lobsters were amazing. I must say, my wife and I have found yet another reason to visit Maine. If you find yourself looking for the ideal place to set as your dinner destination, make your way to Yarmouth and visit the Muddy Rudder.
