This restaurant is perfect! Nice atmosphere and staff. The food is prepared perfectly, my favorite is the tenderloin with artichokes.
As transplants from a more urban area, we had been searching for a bakery and found one in spades in Kristina's! The pastries are sinfully beautiful and delicious. We ate breakfast here on a Sunday morning in December and enjoyed it very much. Toast was 'homemade,' everything cooked as requested and delicious. I had their continental which included orange juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit and granola and a fluffy, light blueberry muffin that also had peaches in it! Yummmmm! The yogurt was lightly flavored with cardamon which gave the whole dish of fruit a novel flavor! My husband had fried eggs, molasses toast, homefries and bacon. He asked that the bacon be 'well-done to the point of needing to call the fire department.' It came very well-done---just the way he likes it! The atmosphere was very spacious (none of that 'squeeze them in' syndrome at Kristina's!), clean, contemporary and homey! I liked the crisp, clean, white valences over the windows. The two booths with throw pillows in very private little corners was a nice touch as well. I borrowed a book from the shelf in the diningroom about New England to browse as we waited for our food--another nice touch. Dining space is ample with additional seating in a private space off the bakery and a balcony on the second level. I would guess that they have outdoor dining on the porch in summer, but have never been there in the summer, so can't say for sure. I loved that they had cut the porch in order to make space for a large tree that grows up through it! Bravo, Kristina! There is a very friendly 'tree hugger' atmosphere here--this meant in the most positive of ways! I would highly recommend Kristina's for it's delicious food, homey ambiance and friendly staff!
